Independent Spirit Award Nominations - posted on Wednesday, January 9 2002
L.I.E. (Lot 47 Films) has received 6 nominations for the 2002 IFP/WEST INDEPENDENT SPIRIT AWARDS including Brian Cox as Best Male Lead
The other noms for L.I.E. are:

Best Supporting Male - Billy Kay
Best Debut Performance - Paul Franklin Dano
Best Feature - Producers: René Bastian, Linda Moran, Michael Cuesta
Best Director - Michael Cuesta
Best First Screenplay - Writers: Stephen M. Ryder, Michael Cuesta, & Gerald Cuesta

From the PR: Selected from more than 175 submissions, the winners will be unveiled at the IFP/West Independent Spirit Awards ceremony on Saturday, March 23, 2002. Director John Waters returns again this year as Master of Ceremonies for the event, which is held in a tent on the beach in Santa Monica. Honorary Chairs and Presenters will be announced shortly.

Diana Zahn-Storey, who has produced the past seven awards shows, will serve as producer for the event. The ceremony will air live exclusively on The Independent Film Channel (IFC) at 5:00 p.m. EST with a rebroadcast airing on IFC's sister network, Bravo, The Film and Arts Network at 10:00 p.m. EST.
